Itches Of Mine Lispmoo2 Scratches

1. Itches of mine lispmoo2 scratches

These are a handful of concerns pulled from the air.

1.1. Comparison with ASDF packages

It seems like they might be similar, but it's easy to take and drop feature objects between rooms, and it's hard to rewrite uiop:define-package :mixes. Further, teleportation has no spatial intuition.

1.2. Comparison with screen/tmux

Other than not having @dig between tmuxes, there is not an intuitive and available anaphora for me-being-somewhere. And the configuration is hard and subtle.

1.3. Comparison with multiple desktops

It's definitely similar to spatially organising multidesktop tiling wms. But my programs are not normally first class citizens of tiling wms, and tiling systems are not normally first class citizens of my programs.

1.4. Comparison with sh

I'm forgetting the authors, but that 80s paper on the success of the unix operating system that pointed out its victory was to transition users away from writing programs and into spatially (okay, 1D) organising "commands" (being previously C written programs).

1.5. Spatial inheritance discussion   noone_wants

Alright, this is to a reasonable extent nonhistorical in MOO. The way I dealt with (multiple) inheritance makes inheritance spatially ant temporally local and calculated on the fly with no assumptions, admittedly at great cost.

2. Except that it's a bit different to those

I thought of the joke of comparing its objective merits to annealing smalltalk to C++, but discretion was the better part of something-or-other, wasn't it?
